One main idea that is coming out of each group is to have one or more activities within the newspaper to keep the reader interested and keep them reading. By getting them involved with the newspaper they are much more likely to keep reading beyond the first page.
Some ideas that people had come up with to put in the newspaper included crosswords, word searches and criss cross. All commonly used in mainstream newspapers they are very popular with the mainstream audience, and if we could relate them to our newspaper and its contents they might have a similar effect to a learning resource.
One idea that I had was to write a full page article based on the advancements in the media technology in recent years and the use of social networking sites to help publicise and market new products such as films and games and couple that with a crossword based on the article, with all the answers to the clues from the article itself.
